Austin H Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Kenyon College, Director for the Southern Equality Research and Policy Center at Campaign for Southern Equality, and Director of Evidence-Based Programming at Gender Benders.

Austin is a scholar-activist who partners with advocacy, direct service, and mutual aid organizations to create community engaged data collection projects aimed at developing evidence-based interventions to improve the life chances of trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse communities in the United States Southeast.
